Remarketing is a game changer and a very clever way of marketing. Search Engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo allow you to show ads specifically to people who have visited your website or the mobile app. The main purpose is to reconnect with the audience that leaves your website without buying anything via relevant product ads across different devices while they are browsing elsewhere around the internet.

As a brand or a business, you can use the following types of ads to remarket your product or brand:

Standard Remarketing:

Standard Remarketing displays ads to your past visitors as they visit Display Network websites and use Display Network apps from their search engine display network partners. For Google, it’s called GDN (Google Display Network).

Dynamic Remarketing:

Dynamic Remarketing is the most common type as it boosts your results. This is the next level of remarketing as ads includes products and services that visitors viewed on the website.

Dynamic Remarketing provides you with the ability to personalize the ads that are best served to the user. The only challenge is that it is bit more technical than Standard Remarketing to implement. Most marketers prefer Dynamic Remarketing as it shows better results.

Remarketing for Mobile Apps:

Remarketing for Mobile Apps displays ads to people who have used the website via their mobile or the mobile apps when they use other apps or browse other websites on their smartphone.

In order to find the right audience for the app engagement ads, the mobile app engagement campaigns target remarketing lists. You will need to target a remarketing list to reach only those people who have installed your app.

Remarketing Lists for Search Ads:

Once a visitor leaves your website, this type of ad is shown to your past visitors when they do follow-up searches on search engines. This is better than just being personalized, Remarketing Lists for Search Ads feeds the relevant ad without the user noticing it. This makes the interaction unique.

Video Remarketing:

Since YouTube has been taken over by Google, they have created this unique remarketing advertising type where ads are displayed to people who have interacted with your videos or channel/s on YouTube. These ads are displayed only when a user browses on YouTube and other partnering network videos, websites and apps.

Video Remarketing is only available on Google, and not on other popular search engines like Yahoo and Bing.

E-Mail List Remarketing:

A user is displayed ads when they sign in to search, email, YouTube etcetera. Basically, whenever a user signs in on the search engine or a partnering platform, ads are displayed. All the marketer has to do is to upload a list of email addresses that are given by the customers to the Remarketing list.

Again, this type of ad is only available on Google, and not on other popular search engines like Yahoo and Bing.
